Nursery Tour

My Dear Love Bugs,

I know I have been MIA and I don’t exactly know why except to say hormones. I haven’t felt up to doing anything regarding being social. I’ve taken these months off just to be pregnant I guess – I can’t explain but from other mammas I’ve spoken to they said it happened to them too. Our baby girl is almost here about 1 week and half until her due date!! Ahhhhhh In celebration and anticipation I thought I would share her Nursery. It has been a labor of love and my poor husband has been doing all the laboring! LoL The Post is kinda long but I wanted to make sure I got as much as I could. If I happens to miss something let me know in the comments and I will find it for you.

The Details:

I’m going to link as much as I can most of the things came from either a vintage shop, amazon, or wayfair. Now let’s get rt into it:

This is one of my favorite pieces. We took and old china cabinet from 1940, painted it and the hardware and now it holds my baby girls shoes and things. (Yes I know she won’t be wearing any of the shoes but if I can get a pic out of it I’m good!) On the shelves I put a bunch of little personal things – blocks with her name on it (I blurred out the letter- I’m not ready to share with the world yet), toy from her cousin in New York, her first bible, mamma and daddy’s pic from their engagement shoot, a baby pic of Mamma that I didn’t even see until my shower last year and lots of headbands lol

This was the before of the cabinet. Pretty but not what I wanted for her super girly, whimsical room.

To the side of the China cabinet I hung two heart hooks and put two of my fave outfits- well the top one I plan to put on her for 4th of July. We as in Tony and I maybe sleep deprived this time but you better believe I will dress her in something cute for her first holiday! The second is from her Nani (my Mamma). I am sure what I use this for will eventually change but I think hooks are a great idea.

Across from that is all this!

The chest is a gift from my aunt when I got married she put her gift (my bedding) decorated so beautifully in it. When I found out I was pregnant with a girl I knew I wanted it in her room. Great for storage btw!

Her daddy made the shelves and the books are from her baby shower each with a note from all the people who came to celebrate Baby Micakaj.

The curtains are blackout curtains which work so well!! Along with the curtain rods I got them from Target. Tony painted the rods gold. The hooks that hold the curtains back are from amazon again spray painted gold.

Rocking chair and cushion are from Hayneedle.

Bed skirt, bed sheet, changing pad cover (you will see in next post) all from Buy Buy Baby.

The mobile is also from Buy Buy Baby I just added some more feathers I got from amazon.

The dolls: Target, HomeGoods, and the unicorn from her 3D ultrasound.

The pillow and comforter: HomeGoods

Her hand made blanket is from my aunt.

The pink bag is her diaper bag from Rosie Pope. It’s packed and ready to go for her arrival.

The Rug: Wayfair.

Changing Area:

The After

The before!

If you follow me on Instagram you would know for her shower I had almost everyone sign this canvas. I knew exactly where I wanted to put it! The changing table was actually and oak bar from the 40s as well I believe and my once again Tony worked his magic and turned it into this! As soon as I found it I knew it was going to be her changing table.

The wipe warmer, Bubala steel diaper pail, hatch baby rest noise machine, noodle and boo lotion, diaper cream brush and diapers are from Buy Buy Baby.

Diaper organizer is from Amazon.

Small woven baskets are from Ikea.

Large woven basket from TjMaxx similar.

The rest are random things from random places.

Tony also made the shelves.

That’s obviously not her pic lol she’s not here yet. I used the target Dollar Spot jars for her bows and things.

I made this from yarn and a wooden dowel. Super easy DIY! Door knob from Amazon.

How dope is this shiplap!!! We were going to paint and changed our mind once we saw how beautiful it looked.

She’s going Places sign is from hobby lobby. The lollipop monitor is from Amazon.

Also if you want to see how I organized her closet and under her changing table let me know in the comments.

Thanks for reading love bugs. Hopefully it won’t be 5 months until you hear from again. You can always catch up with me on Instagram link here. Wish me luck its ALMOST TIME!
